Welcome to Foundation Housing’s Home Street Home Scheme

Home Street Home is a holistic approach to youth homelessness prevention. Youth homelessness is often the result of a failure to resolve everyday problems, such as relationships with parents and carers, money, access to suitable housing and educational issues. Such failure can lead to problems escalating and multiplying until the young person is drawn inevitably towards social exclusion and homelessness.

The scheme aims to engage young people and their families at the earliest opportunity in order to prevent homelessness, using a range of locally delivered interventions including mediation, skills training, comprehensive support planning and interactive presentations/workshops with groups and individuals.
